Pearl River Delta

The Pearl River Delta, Zhujiang Delta or Zhusanjiao in Guangdong province, People's Republic of China is the low-lying area surrounding the Pearl River estuary where the Pearl River flows into the South China Sea. Nanlang Railway Station

Second Battle of Chuenpee

The Second Battle of Chuenpee was fought between British and Chinese forces at the Bocca Tigris, China, on 7 January 1841 during the First Opium War. The British captured the forts on the islands of Chuenpee and Tycocktow. The battle led to negotiations between British Plenipotentiary Charles Elliot and Chinese Imperial Commissioner Qishan in the Convention of Chuenpee. Elliot declared, among other arrangements, the cession of Hong Kong Island to the British Empire.

Pearl River (China)

The Pearl River or Zhu Jiang or less commonly, the "Guangdong River" or "Canton River" etc. ,, is an extensive river system in southern China. The name Pearl River is usually used as a catchment term to refer to the watersheds of the Xi Jiang ("West River"), the Bei Jiang ("North River"), and the Dong Jiang ("East River"). These rivers are all considered tributaries of the Pearl River because they share a common delta, the Pearl River Delta.

Nansha Ferry Port

Nansha Ferry Port is a ferry terminal on the shore of the Pearl river (aka Zhujiang River), in the Nansha District in the Southern China's Guangdong province, situated immediately north of Hong Kong.
