Beijing Daxing International Airport

Beijing Daxing International Airport or Beijing Capital (Second) International Airport is a planned new airport serving Beijing. The name of the future airport has not been made official yet. The airport is to be built in Daxing District, located 46 km south of Tiananmen Square, Beijing's political center. The airport will be located on the southern part of Daxing along the border with Hebei province. The new airport is expected to serve Tianjin and Hebei province as well as Beijing.

Hebei

 Hebei is a province of the People's Republic of China in the North China region. Its one-character abbreviation is "冀" (jì), named after Ji Province, a Han Dynasty province that included what is now southern Hebei. The name Hebei means "north of the river", referring to its location completely above the Yellow River. In 1928, Hebei was formed after the central government dissolved the province of Chih-li (直隸), which means "Directly Ruled (by the Imperial Court)".
