Fuhai (Burultokay) County is a county in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and is under the administration of the Altay Prefecture. It has an area of 33, 273 km² with a population of 70,000. Ulungur River

The Ulungur River or Urungu, in its upper reaches in Mongolia known as the Bulgan River, is a river of China and Mongolia. It rises in the Altai Mountains in western Mongolia, flows south into China then turns northwest to empty into the Ulungur Lake in Xinjiang. It is about 700km long.

Ulungur Lake

Ulungur Lake is located in Fuhai County, Xinjiang, China. With an area of 1,035 square kilometers, the lake is one of China's ten largest freshwater lakes. Lake Ulungur is divided into two sections: Buluntuo Lake and the smaller Jili Lake and is fed by the Ulungur River. In 1969, a canal was built through the watershed between the Ulungur and the Irtysh River in order to divert water into the lake. During the winter, there is ice fishing.
