Zaza Reservoir

Zaza Reservoir (Spanish: Embalse Zaza, La Presa Zaza) is the largest man-made reservoir in Cuba. It is located in the Sancti Spíritus Province in central Cuba, 10 kilometres south-east of the city of Sancti Spíritus and 11 kilometres north-west of La Sierpe. It has a water mirror area of 113.5 km . and an average volume of 750,000,000 m³.

Aero Caribbean Flight 883

Aero Caribbean Flight 883 was an international scheduled passenger flight from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to Havana, Cuba, via Santiago de Cuba. On 4 November 2010, the Aero Caribbean ATR-72-212 operating the route crashed in the central Cuban province of Sancti Spíritus, killing all 61 passengers and 7 crew members aboard. It is the joint deadliest accident involving the ATR 72, and the third deadliest aviation accident in Cuba.

José Antonio Huelga Stadium

José Antonio Huelga Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Sancti Spíritus, Cuba. It is currently used mostly for baseball games and is the home stadium of Sancti Spíritus Gallos. The stadium holds 13,000 people. Architects: Rogelio Arrieta and Eduardo Garcia.
