Černá Hora (Blansko District)

Name of the place (literary black mountain) come from a hill whose vegetation is darker than the neighbourhood. Several trade paths crossed this place. First written mention about the location comes from 1279. Since 1390 it acquired township privileges. In Latin texts the place is called Nigromons or Czernahora in German texts Czernahora.

Punkva

Punkva is a 29-km long river in South Moravia, Czech Republic. It originates in Moravian Karst in underground and flows to Macocha Gorge, from which it then flows through the Punkva Caves. After leaving the caves Punkva flows through the valley and several fish ponds. It enters Svitava River in Blansko as its left tributary.
