Battle of White Mountain

The Battle of White Mountain, 8 November 1620 was an early battle in the Thirty Years' War in which an army of 30,000 Bohemians and mercenaries under Christian of Anhalt were routed by 27,000 men of the combined armies of Ferdinand II, Holy Roman Emperor under Charles Bonaventure de Longueval, Count of Bucquoy and the German Catholic League under Johann Tserclaes, Count of Tilly at Bílá Hora ("White Mountain"), near Prague (now part of the city).

Zličín (Prague Metro)

Zličín is a Prague Metro station and terminus of Line B. Zličín metro station gives direct pedestrian access to the 2004 constructed Metropolis shopping mall, and has zero-fare bus links to the nearby Globus, Tesco and Ikea hypermarkets. The station's metro lines feed into a large shed with direct rail connections to the adjacent Siemens train and tram factory.

Ruzyně

Ruzyně is a district of Prague city, part of Prague 6. It has been a part of Prague since 1960. Václav Havel Airport is located in this district. Czech Airlines has its head office on the grounds of the airport. Travel Service Airlines and its low cost subsidiary Smart Wings have their head office on the airport property. In addition the Civil Aviation Authority also has its head office on the airport property.

Stodůlky

Stodůlky,, is a cadastral area (katastrální území) in Prague, Czech Republic. Originally a village (first written mention of which dates from 1159), later municipality (since 1849), it remained a predominantly agricultural settlement until 1960s. Stodůlky became part of Prague in 1974 and large housing estate of Jihozápadní Město gradually arose on fields in vicinity of the old village in late 1970s through mid-1990s.
