Karup Airport

Karup Airport is an airport in Denmark. At the request of some middle-and West Jutland politicians airport, it was opened on 1 November 1965 when the first direct connection between Karup and Copenhagen was opened. Airport ownership consisted of Viborg and Ringkjøbing county council districts and the municipalities of Herning, Holstebro, Viborg, Skive, Ikast, Karup, Struer, Ringkøbing, Lemvig and Skjern.

Karup Municipality

The municipality covered an area of 163 km², and had a total population of 6,709 (2005). Its last mayor was Kjeld Merstrand, a member of the Social Democrats (Socialdemokraterne) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Karup.

Aulum-Haderup Municipality

Until January 1, 2007, Aulum-Haderup was a municipality in Ringkjøbing County on the Jutland peninsula in west Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 247 km², and had a total population of 6,730 (2005). Its latest mayor was Christian Dam Larsen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Aulum. Aulum-Haderup municipality ceased to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007).
