Vendsyssel

Vendsyssel is the northernmost traditional district of Denmark and of Jutland. Being divided from mainland Jutland by the Limfjord, it is technically a part of the North Jutlandic Island. Vendsyssel is part of the North Denmark Region. Vendsyssel neighbours Hanherred to the southwest and Himmerland to the south, across the Limfjord. Whether the island Læsø is also a part of Vendsyssel, is a matter of definition.

Brønderslev

Brønderslev is a town with a population of 11,895 (1 January 2012). It is the municipal seat of Brønderslev municipality, Vendsyssel in Region Nordjylland, the northernmost part of the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark. The name of the town is derived from a local viking chief, Brunder. One of its sister cities is Nässjö, Sweden.

Brønderslev Municipality

Brønderslev is a municipality in North Denmark Region in Denmark. The municipality was originally named Brønderslev-Dronninglund, this being the longest municipality name in Denmark. But at the municipal council's first meeting they decided to shorten the name to a new and shorter form: Brønderslev municipality. It covers an area of 630 km² and a total population of 35,525 (2008).

Sulsted

Sulsted is a small Danish town with a population of 1,543 (1 January 2012) in northern Jutland, just north of Aalborg. Sulsted Church was constructed c. 1150-1200 http://www. dist. dk/~lf/middelalder/Stil. HTML and features a large number of frescos, all created in 1548 by Hans Maler from Randers.

Dronninglund Castle

Dronninglund Castle is a former royal residence located in the northern part of the Jutland Peninsula, Denmark. Its history goes back to the 12th century, when it was the Benedictine monastery of Hundslund Priory. After the last nuns left it in 1581, it was first owned by the Lindenow family. In 1690, Queen Charlotte Amalie acquired it. It is from her that the palace takes the name Dronninglund, meaning "queens forest".
