Venilale

Venilale (formerly Vila Viçosa) is a town located about 30km south of Baucau. It is the capital of the Venilale sub district in Baucau District, East Timor. The sub-district has a population of around 16,000 people and has an area of 151.37 km. Baucau Airport

Baucau Airport, former Cakung Airport, is an unattended airport located 6.5 km west of Baucau, a city in East Timor (Timor-Leste). Under Portuguese rule, Baucau Airport, which has a much longer runway than Dili's Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport was used for international flights, including those of Trans Australia Airlines from Australia. Following the Indonesian invasion in 1975, this was taken over by the Indonesian military and closed to civilian traffic.

Baucau

Baucau is the second-largest city in East Timor, after Dili, the capital, which lies 122 km east of Dili. Baucau has about 16,000 inhabitants, and is the capital of Baucau, located in the eastern part of the country. In the times of Portuguese Timor, Baucau was called Vila Salazar, after the Portuguese dictator António de Oliveira Salazar.
