Quitsato Sundial

Because of its design, the shadow projected by the gnomon on the dial lines can indicate solstices, equinoxes, and also months of the year with great precision. ]] The Quitsato Sundial is a cultural-touristic place located at La Mitad Del Mundo, near to Cayambe, 47km at North of Quito. It was built at 2006 and inaugurated at 2007 as an independent, non-profit project in a 24756 ft² (2300 m²) area.

Hacienda Guachalá

The Hacienda Guachalá is known as the oldest hacienda in Ecuador, and the most important hacienda until the middle of the 20th century. The oldest buildings date from the year 1580, and at its apogee comprised more than 21000 ha. It hosted members of the French Geodesic Mission, Gabriel García Moreno, an Ecuadorian former president; Neptalí Bonifaz, first president of Central Bank of Ecuador.

Equator

Estadio Guillermo Albornoz

Estadio Guillermo Albornoz is a multi-use stadium in Cayambe, Ecuador. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Cuniburo Fútbol Club. The stadium holds 12,000 people.

Cayambe (volcano)

Cayambe (or Volcán Cayambe) is the name of a volcano located in the Cordillera Oriental, a branch of the Ecuadorian Andes. It is located in Pichincha province some 70 km (43 mi) northeast of Quito. It is the third highest mountain in Ecuador. Cayambe, which has a permanent snow cap, is a Holocene compound volcano which has not erupted in historical times.
