Metu Zuria is one of the woredas in the Oromia Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Illubabor Zone, Metu Zuria is bordered on the south by Ale, on the southwest by Bure, on the west by the Kelem Welega Zone, on the north by Darimu, on the northeast by Supena Sodo, on the east by Yayu and on the southeast by Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Region. The former Metu worida was separated for Bicho, Bilo Nopha and Metu Zuria woredas and Metu Town.

Metu, Ethiopia

Metu is a market town and separate woreda in southwestern Ethiopia. Located in the Illubabor Zone of the Oromia Region (or kilil) along the Sor River, this town has a latitude and longitude of {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:8|18|N|35|35|E||| | |name= }} and an altitude of 1605 meters. Metu was the capital of the former Illubabor Province from 1978 until the adoption of the new constitution in 1995.

Supena Sodo

Supena Sodo ("Supe and Sodo") is one of the 180 woredas in the Oromia Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Illubabor Zone, Supena Sodo is bordered on the south by Yayu, on the southwest by Metu, on the west by Darimu, on the north by the Mirab Welega Zone, on the northeast by Dega, and on the southeast by Chora. Towns in Supena Sodo include Alge, Sache and Supe. Coffee is an important cash crop of this woreda. Over 50 square kilometers are planted with this crop.

Bitis parviocula

Common name: Ethiopian mountain adder Bitis parviocula is a venomous viper species found only in southwest Ethiopia. It is large with a broad head and spectacular geometric markings. In 1995, the species was known from only three specimens, but additional information has surfaced since then. Little is known about its natural history or its venom. No subspecies are currently recognized.
