Kochersberg

The Kochersberg is a natural region of the French département of Bas-Rhin in Alsace and is a part of the hills found along the eastern side of the Vosges mountains. It gave its name to the Community of Communes of the Kochersberg. Its name comes from the Kochersberg hill; its highest peak (301 m), stands over Neugartheim-Ittlenheim. A castle was built on its top in the 13th century but was destroyed three centuries later. Its only relief is its peripheral ditch.

The Château d'Oberhof is a ruined castle situated in the commune of Saverne in the département of Bas-Rhin. It is dated to the 12th century.

Rohan Castle

Rohan Castle, also known as Château Neuf (New Castle), is a Neoclassicist monumental building in the city of Saverne in Alsace, France. The 140 metre wide façade of red vosges sandstone is considered to be one of the most impressive examples of its kind. The building was erected between 1780 and 1790 by the architect Nicolas Salins de Montfort on the site of the previous building, which had been built in 1670 and burned down in 1779.

Château de Wangen

The Château de Wangen is a destroyed 13th century castle in the commune of Wangen in the Bas-Rhin département of France. Located within the urban area of Wangen, all that remains is the central space it occupied, its plan is still visible on land maps. The castle appears to date from the 13th century. It was mentioned as an episcopal fiefdom in 1359. In 1440, when Armagnac troops crossed the region in a campaign against Strasbourg, it suffered some damage.
