It gave its name to the Community of Communes of the Kochersberg. Its name comes from the Kochersberg hill; its highest peak (301 m), stands over Neugartheim-Ittlenheim. A castle was built on its top in the 13th century but was destroyed three centuries later. Its only relief is its peripheral ditch.

Château de Bouxwiller
Château de Bouxwiller was a château situated in the département of Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France. The Wasserberg type fortress was constructed in the 15th century. Remodeled many times, the chateau served more as a residence than a military post. In the 18th century, its attractive and terraced French-styled gardens were very well known. However, the original building did not survive the destruction of the French Revolution.
