La moutete

La Moutète was an indoor sporting arena located in Orthez, France home of Elan Bearnais Orthez french basketball team from 1931 to 1991. It was actually an indoor market place for Orthez inhabitants especially used to sell living poultries. The place was transformed into a basketball field for the home games, seats being build and un-build before and after every games. As Elan Béarnais Orthez became a successful organisation, La Moutète became outdated for an elite team.

Gare d'Orthez

Orthez is a railway station in Orthez, Aquitaine, France. The station is located on the Toulouse - Bayonne railway line. The station is served by TGV (high speed trains), Lunéa (night trains), Intercités (long distance) and TER (local) services operated by the SNCF.

Château Moncade

The Château Moncade is a ruined castle in the commune of Orthez in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques département of France. Construction of the castle was started in 1242 by the Gaston VII, Viscount of Béarn (the keep, known as the tour de Moncade). In the 14th century, Gaston Phébus, Count of Foix, altered it between 1368 and 1375. The castle was broken up and the curtain wall was demolished in the 18th century.
