Océan Lock

Océan Lock is a single chamber lock on the Canal du Midi. The adjacent locks are Mediterranee Lock 5190 metres to the east and Emborrel Lock 4157 metres to the west. Ocean Lock marks the start of the summit section of the canal when travelling west to east. It is located in the commune of Montferrand, Aude.

Bassin de Naurouze

The Bassin de Naurouze is an octagonal holding tank, created during the building of the Canal du Midi as designed and built by Pierre-Paul Riquet. It was abandoned a few years after construction of the canal because of its recurrent silting problems. The flow of water from the Bassin de Saint-Ferréol joins the Canal du Midi at this point near the Seuil de Naurouze. Riquet hoped to build a city around the basin and also considered building a port.

Vasague Aqueduct

The Vasague Aqueduct (French: Aqueduc de Vasague) is one of several navigable aqueducts on the Canal du Midi. It is quite near the Seuil de Naurouze, and crosses a small stream, Le Fresquel.

Radel Aqueduct

The Radel Aqueduct (French: Aqueduc de Radel) is one of several aqueducts on the Canal du Midi. In Avignonet-Lauragais France, it carries the canal over a small stream, the Ruisseau des Brougues.

Château de Saint-Félix-Lauragais

The Château de Saint-Félix-Lauragais is a castle in the commune of Saint-Félix-Lauragais in the Haute-Garonne département of France. The castle was originally constructed in the 11th century. The first Synod of the Cathar church, known as the Council of Saint-Félix was held there in 1167. In the 14th century, the castle was transformed into a country house by a brother of Pope John XXII. The complex includes buildings from the 13th to the 18th centuries.
