It is located in the Meurthe-et-Moselle département of France, 10 miles northeast of the city of Toul, on the west side of the Route nationale 411 (N411) Highway about one mile southeast of Rosières-en-Haye. Toul Air Base was used by American fighter and bomber aircraft during World War II.

Meurthe (river)

The Meurthe is a river in north-eastern France, right tributary to the river Moselle. Its source is in the Vosges mountains, near the Col de la Schlucht in the Vosges département. It gave its name to the present French département Meurthe-et-Moselle and the former (before the change in the Franco-German border after the Franco-Prussian war of 1870) département Meurthe.

Nancy 2 University

Nancy 2 University (Université Nancy 2) was a French university located in Nancy, France. It was a member of the Nancy-Université federation, a group of the three higher education institutions in Nancy. It merged with Nancy-I, Paul Verlaine University – Metz, and the INPL forming the University of Lorraine. The merger process started in 2009 with the creation of a "pôles de recherche et d'enseignement supérieur" or PRES and was completed 1 January 2012.

Toul Cathedral

Toul Cathedral (Cathédrale Saint-Étienne de Toul) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Toul, Lorraine, France, and a fine example of Gothic architecture. It was formerly the seat of the Diocese of Toul, created in 365 and merged in 1824 with the Diocese of Nancy which in 1777 had been formed from the Diocese of Toul. Since 1824 the diocese has been known as the Diocese of Nancy-Toul.
