Not to be confused with Château de Saint-Élix-le-Château The Château de Saint-Élix is a castle in the commune of Saint-Élix-Séglan in the Haute-Garonne département of France. The castle was originally constructed in the 14th century, with developments in the 15th and 17th. The Château de Saint-Elix is a modest fortified house situated on the summit of a hill dominating the valley of the Noue River.

Château d'Aurignac

The Château d'Aurignac is a ruined 13th century castle in the commune of Aurignac in the Haute-Garonne département of France. The castle was built on a hill before 1240 by Bernard V, Counts of Comminges, and the village developed around it. Henry IV ordered the destruction of the castle in the early 17th century and, although it was still partly inhabited in 1627, it fell into disuse not long afterwards.

Salat (river)

The Salat is a river in southern France, a right tributary of the Garonne. It rises in nine points above the hamlet Salau in the municipality Couflens, on the slopes of Mont Rouch, central Pyrenees. The former Gascon province of Couserans is based on its valley.
