Escaladieu Abbey

Escaladieu Abbey was a Cistercian abbey located in the French commune of Bonnemazon in the Hautes-Pyrénées. Its name derives from the Latin Scala Dei ("ladder of God"). The abbey was founded in 1142 and became an important pilgrimage stop on the Way of St. James en route to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. The abbey is situated at the confluence of the Luz and the Arros rivers near the Château de Mauvezin.

Château de Mauvezin

The Château de Mauvezin is a castle in the commune of Mauvezin in the Hautes-Pyrénées département of France. The site, occupied since protohistory, was transformed into a castrum in the Middle Ages and later into a castle. The castle was built by Gaston Fébus (also Phoebus) around 1380. Following the merging of Bigorre into the Kingdom of France in 1607, it fell into disuse and was dismantled piece by piece, its stones being used for other buildings. Today, the castle is being restored.

Stade Maurice Trélut

Stade Maurice Trélut is part of the Tarbes sports complex in Tarbes, France. It comprises a main stadium with a capacity of 16,400 of which 12,000 places are seated. The main stadium is mostly used by the Tarbes French Rugby Union team, Tarbes Pyrénées Rugby who play in the French ProD2 league. The rugby stadium is made up of one large all-seater stand (Main stand) which houses club facilities, plus two other seated stands and one area of terracing.

Jardin Massey

Jardin Massey is a public garden in Tarbes, France built in the 19th century by Placide Massey (1777-1853), horticulturist of the French King Louis Philippe I and previous chief of the Palace of Versailles' gardens. The Jardin Massey has been put on the list of the Remarkable Gardens of France by the French government in 2004. The garden contains several interesting buildings such as: the Musée Massey, the orangery, the cloister, the School of art and ceramics.
