Osse (river)

The Osse is a 120 km long river in southwestern France, right tributary of the river Gélise. Its source is in the Hautes-Pyrénées, 2 km southeast of the village Bernadets-Debat, in the Plateau de Lannemezan. It joins the river Gélise 5 km southwest of the town Nérac. Plateau de Lannemezan

The plateau de Lannemezan is a plateau in Hautes-Pyrénées département, in Pyrenees foothills,not far from Spain, southwestern France, with about 10,000 inhabitants. Its name is due to the city Lannemezan, which lies in the middle of the plateau. The plateau of Lannemezan through 155 years of work (1840-1995)can be considered the water tower across Biscay.

Gesse

The Gesse is a 52.1 km long river in the Hautes-Pyrénées, Haute-Garonne and Gers départements, southwestern France. Its source is at Arné, on the plateau de Lannemezan. It flows generally northeast. It is a left tributary of the Save into which it flows at Espaon.

Château de Mauvezin

The Château de Mauvezin is a castle in the commune of Mauvezin in the Hautes-Pyrénées département of France. The site, occupied since protohistory, was transformed into a castrum in the Middle Ages and later into a castle. The castle was built by Gaston Fébus (also Phoebus) around 1380. Following the merging of Bigorre into the Kingdom of France in 1607, it fell into disuse and was dismantled piece by piece, its stones being used for other buildings. Today, the castle is being restored.
