Milly-le-Meugon is a village now attached to the city of Gennes, Maine-et-Loire department, France. Château de Brissac

The Château de Brissac is a noble mansion in the commune of Brissac-Quincé, in the département of Maine-et-Loire, France. It was originally built as a castle by the Counts of Anjou in the 11th century. After the victory over the English by Philip II of France, he gave the property to Guillaume des Roches. (the castle got the name Brissac from one of its owners The Duke of Brissac) In the 15th century, the structure was rebuilt by Pierre de Brézé, a wealthy chief minister to King Charles VII.

Angers (meteorite)

Angers is an L6 meteorite that hit Pays de la Loire, France in 1822. The meteor struck at 8:15 PM on June 3. It has since been stored along with L'Aigle, another meteorite that struck France 19 years prior, in a room at the Muséum d’histoire naturelle d’Angers, a French natural history museum.

Layon

The Layon is a 90.2 km long river in the Deux-Sèvres and Maine-et-Loire départements, western France. Its source is near Saint-Maurice-la-Fougereuse. It flows generally northwest. It is a left tributary of the Loire into which it flows near Chalonnes-sur-Loire.

Glanfeuil Abbey

Glanfeuil Abbey (Abbaye de Glanfeuil, also known as Abbaye de Saint-Maur-sur-Loire), was a French Benedictine monastery in Anjou. The village of Saint-Maur is in the commune of Le Thoureil, in the diocese of Angers and the modern department of Maine-et-Loire. It was founded by Saint Maurus, according to the legendary account of abbot Odo of Glanfeuil, or by Benedict of Nursia himself, the teacher of Maurus.
