Le Puy du Fou (from the name of the place which translates as "the hill of the beech", from puy and fagus) is a historical theme park in Les Epesses in the heart of the Vendée region of Western France. Fort Louvois

Fort Louvois, which is known locally as Fort du Chapus, is a fortification built between 1691 and 1694, during the reign of Louis XIV, on the Chapus islet, and is about 400 metres off shore in the town of Bourcefranc-le-Chapus in the department of Charente-Maritime, France. The fort sits opposite the citadel of Château d'Oléron on the island of Oléron.

Basilica of St. Louis de Montfort

The Basilica of St. Louis de Montfort is a Roman Catholic basilica at Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre in the Vendée department, in the Pays de la Loire region in France. Thousands of pilgrim arrive at the basilica each year for it is the burial place of two well known Roman Catholic figures: Saint Louis de Montfort and Blessed Marie Louise Trichet.
