Roman Catholic Diocese of Meaux

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Meaux, is a diocese of the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic church in France. The diocese comprises the entire department of Seine-et-Marne. It was suffragan of the Archdiocese of Sens until 1622, and subsequently of Archdiocese of Paris. The Concordat of 1801 gave to the Diocese of Meaux the department of Marne, which was separated from it in 1821 and 1822 by the establishment of the archiepiscopal See of Reims and the episcopal See of Châlons.

Meaux Cathedral

Meaux Cathedral (Cathédrale Saint-Étienne de Meaux) is a Roman Catholic cathedral, and a national monument of France, in the town of Meaux, in the department of Seine-et-Marne, east of Paris. It is the seat of the Bishop of Meaux. The construction of the cathedral is not finished. Construction of the cathedral began approximately in 1175 - 1180, when a structure in Romanesque style was started.

College of Juilly

The College of Juilly (French: Collège de Juilly is a Catholic private teaching establishment located on the commune of Juilly, in Seine-et-Marne . Directed by the French Oratorians, it was created in 1638 by the congregationists headed by Father Charles de Condren. According to the legend, Saint Geneviève stopped in the village of Juilly in 470, and a water source suddenly emerged where she prayed. The spot quickly became a pilgrimage place, and the College was built around it.

Grand Morin

The Grand Morin is a 118 km long river in France, left tributary of the Marne. Its source is near the village of Lachy. Its course crosses the departments of Marne and Seine-et-Marne. It flows westwards through the towns of Esternay, La Ferté-Gaucher, Coulommiers and Crécy-la-Chapelle, finally flowing into the Marne in Esbly. Its main tributary is the Aubetin.
