Rove Tunnel

The Rove Tunnel is a canal tunnel in France. It is about 4.5 mi (7.2 km) long and 72 ft (22 m) wide and opened in 1927. The Rove Tunnel remains the biggest canal tunnel in the world. The tunnel was closed in 1963 after its collapse. Air France Flight 8969

Air France Flight 8969 was an Air France flight that was hijacked on 24 December 1994 by the Armed Islamic Group (GIA) at Algiers, where they killed three passengers, with the intention to blow up the plane over the Eiffel Tower in Paris. When the aircraft reached Marseille, the GIGN, an intervention group of the French National Gendarmerie, stormed the plane and killed all four hijackers. The GIA's plan appeared to foreshadow the September 11 attacks.

Charlie Jazz Festival

The Charlie Jazz Festival is an annual music festival held every summer in Vitrolles, Provence, France. It was established in 1998 by Charlie Free, a not-for-profit jazz organization which runs jazz sessions every two weeks at Le Moulin à Jazz, a famous jazz club in France. The festival is hosted at Le Domaine de Fontblanche, a public garden with centenaries planes, the first weekend of July.
