Cize-Bolozon viaduct

The Cize-Bolozon viaduct is a road-rail bridge crossing the Ain gorge in France. The viaduct was originally constructed in 1875; it was destroyed in World War 2,. and then reconstructed as an urgent post-war project due to its position on a main line to Paris. The viaduct reopened in May 1950. The bridge carries road and rail traffic at very different levels.

Royal Monastery of Brou

The Royal Monastery of Brou is a religious complex located at Bourg-en-Bresse in the Ain département, central France. It is composed of monastic buildings and a church, which were built at the beginning of the 16th century by Margaret of Austria, daughter of the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I and Governor of the Habsburg Netherlands. The complex was designed as a dynastic burial place in the tradition of the Burgundian Champmol and Cîteaux Abbey, and the French Saint-Denis.
