Berchtesgaden Central Station

Berchtesgaden Central Station (Berchtesgaden Hauptbahnhof) is a station of the Bavarian market town of Berchtesgaden, which is the smallest town in Germany with a Hauptbahnhof. It has five platform tracks and is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station. It is the terminus of the Freilassing–Berchtesgaden railway. Previously the Berchtesgaden–Hangender Stein railway, also called the Grüne Elektrische (“Green Electric”) started from the station.

Dokumentationszentrum Obersalzberg

Dokumentationszentrum Obersalzberg (Obersalzberg Center of Documentation) is a museum, erected on the groundwork of the former Nazi guesthouse in order to supply historical information concerning the use of the Obersalzberg by Nazi leaders, especially Adolf Hitler who regularly vacationed in this area beginning in 1928. The museum was opened in 1999, and by 2007 had been visited by more than one million people.

General Walker Hotel

The General Walker Hotel was a former Third Reich hotel in Obersalzberg, Germany. Following World War II, it became a United States Armed Forces Recreation Center (AFRC), and was renamed after US Army General Walton Walker, killed in action in the Korean War. It was demolished in 2000.

Berghof (residence)

The Berghof was Adolf Hitler's home in the Obersalzberg of the Bavarian Alps near Berchtesgaden, Bavaria, Germany. Other than the Wolfsschanze in East Prussia, Hitler spent more time at the Berghof than anywhere else during World War II. It was also one of the most widely known of his headquarters, which were located throughout Europe. Rebuilt, much expanded and renamed in 1935, the Berghof was Hitler's vacation residence for ten years.
