Brend

The river Brend is a right-bank tributary of the Fränkische Saale (Franconian Saale), in Lower Franconia, Bavaria, Germany. It is situated in the district Rhön-Grabfeld. Its source is in Oberweißenbrunn, which is part of the town Bischofsheim. It flows through Bischofsheim, Unterweißenbrunn, Wegfurt, Schönau an der Brend and Brendlorenzen before entering the Fränkische Saale after 30 kilometres in Bad Neustadt.

Frauenroth Abbey

Frauenroth Abbey is a former Cistercian nunnery in Burkardroth in Bavaria, South Germany, in the bishopric of Würzburg The abbey, dedicated to Saint George and All Saints, was built in 1231 by Count Otto II and Beatrix von Botenlauben, who were both later buried here. Following their deaths, their son, also called Otto, became head of the abbey. The abbey ceased was dissolved in 1574, and was taken over by the administrative office of the Prince-Bishop of Würzburg.

Bismarck Tower (Bad Kissingen)

The construction of the Bismarck Tower located on the "Sinnberg", a hill in the German spa town of Bad Kissingen, started in 1914 following the plans designed by architekt, Wilhelm Kreis. It was projected by the local Bismarck Tower Association under the chairmanship of its founder, pharmacist Oscar Ihl.
