Hösseringen Museum Village

The Hösseringen Museum Village is located at Hösseringen in the German state of Lower Saxony. Covering an area of 10,000 square metres, it displays important examples of the Lower German, timber-framed, open-hall house, the so-called Low German house or Fachhallenhaus. These buildings are all faithful reconstructions, the majority stemming from Uelzen district, that have been dismantled, moved and rebuilt on the site.

Haußelberg

The Haußelberg is a 119.1 metres above NN high hill in the Lüneburg Heath in the north German district of Celle. It is a popular viewing point in the otherwise very flat terrain of the Südheide Nature Park. In 1820 King George IV of England tasked the Professor of Astronomy and Director of the Observatory at Göttingen University, Carl Friedrich Gauß, to survey the Kingdom of Hanover.

Südheide Nature Park

The Südheide Nature Park is a large protected area of forest and heathland in the southern part of the Lüneburg Heath in North Germany. It has been designated as a protected nature park since 1964.

Kiehnmoor

The Kiehnmoor is a nature reserve in Germany. It was designated as a nature reserve in 1992. It has an area of 440 hectares of which 100 hectares lie in Celle district and 340 hectares in Uelzen district. The nature conservation authorities of these districts are responsible for the reserve. A large part of the area is wet meadow, that in places is intensively farmed. However the majority of the area has been left in its natural state. A small sand heath forms part of the reserve.

RAF Fassberg

The former Royal Air Force Station Fassberg, more commonly known as RAF Fassberg, was a Royal Air Force airbase in Germany situated in the northern suburbs of Fassberg, Lower Saxony. The RAF disestablished the station and was closed down in January 1957, formally handed over from the 23 LAA RAF Regiment to the German Air Force. It is now Faßberg Air Base, and home to the German Army Aviation Corps "Army Aviation Transport Helicopter Regiment 10".
