Dobberworth

The Dobberworth or Dubberworth is one of the largest prehistoric tumuli in northern Germany, located on the isle of Rügen near Sagard. The Dubberworth is about 15 metres tall, and was made from an estimated 22,000 m of earth, making it the largest tumulus of Rügen. Archaeologists were not yet able to date the tumulus precisely, but assume it was used during the Bronze Age.

Jasmund

Jasmund is a peninsula of the island of Rügen in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It is connected to the Wittow peninsula and to the Muttland main section of Rügen by the narrow land bridges Schaabe and Schmale Heide, respectively. Sassnitz, Sagard and the Mukran international ferry terminal are on Jasmund. Jasmund is also famous for the Stubbenkammer chalk cliffs within the Jasmund National Park, a nature reserve in the northeast of Rügen island.

HMS Otus (S18)

HMS Otus was a Royal Navy Oberon-class submarine launched in 1962. She was decommissioned in the early 1990s and is now a naval museum in Germany.

Sassnitz Wildlife Park

Sassnitz Wildlife Park is a wildlife park in the borough of Sassnitz on the German Baltic Sea island of Rügen. The park is open all-year round and covers an area of 2.5 hectares on the edge of the town of Sassnitz. About 250 animals of 60 species are kept in the park. These are predominantly native animals, but there are several exotic species as well. Sassnitz Wildlife Park is the only park of its kind on Germany's largest island. In 2001 it received 27,000 visitors.
