Randow

Randow is a river in the Uckermark region of Brandenburg and the Vorpommern region of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, in part constituting these regions' frontier. An ancient name is Lochnitza, the town of Löcknitz derived its name from it. Since 1700, Randow is exclusively used. The source is near Penkun, from which the river flows both to the North and to the South.

Battle of Frisches Haff

The battle of Frisches Haff or battle of Neuwarp was a naval battle between Sweden and Prussia that took place 10 September 1759 as part of the ongoing Seven Years' War. The battle took place in the Oder Lagoon between Neuwarp and Usedom, and is named after an ambiguous earlier name for the Lagoon, Frisches Haff, which later exclusively denoted the Vistula Lagoon.

Szczecin Lagoon

"Stettin Bay" redirects here, for "Stettin Bay" in Papua New Guinea, see West New Britain Province Szczecin Lagoon, Bay of Szczecin, or Stettin Bay, also Oder lagoon, is a lagoon in the Oder estuary, shared by Germany and Poland. It is separated from the Pomeranian Bay of the Baltic Sea by the islands of Usedom and Wolin. The lagoon is subdivided into the Kleines Haff ("small lagoon") in the West and the Wielki Zalew (German: Großes Haff, "great lagoon") in the East.

Uecker-Randow

Uecker-Randow was a Kreis (district) in the eastern part of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. The district was created on June 12, 1994 by merging the previous districts Pasewalk, Ueckermünde and part of the district Strasburg. On 4 September 2011, it was merged into Vorpommern-Greifswald. Neighboring districts were (from south clockwise) Uckermark in Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Strelitz and Ostvorpommern. To the east was the West Pomeranian Voivodship of Poland.
