Goldene Aue

The Goldene Aue is a valley in eastern Germany, in the states Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt. It is situated between the towns Nordhausen in the west, and Sangerhausen in the east. It is bordered by the mountain ranges Harz in the north, and Windleite and Kyffhäuser in the south. The river Helme flows through the Goldene Aue. Goldene Aue is a Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") in the Mansfeld-Südharz district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Before 1 January 2010, it was a Verwaltungsgemeinschaft. It is situated south and west of Sangerhausen. It is named after the Goldene Aue valley. The seat of the Verbandsgemeinde is in Kelbra. The Verbandsgemeinde Goldene Aue consists of the following municipalities: Berga Brücken-Hackpfüffel Edersleben Kelbra

Roßla-Südharz

Roßla-Südharz was a Verwaltungsgemeinschaft ("collective municipality") in the Mansfeld-Südharz district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It was situated in the southern part of the Harz, west of Sangerhausen. The seat of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft was in Roßla. It was disbanded on 1 January 2010. Glasebach (Bauerngraben)

The Glasebach (Bauerngraben) is a stream of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It rises near Dietersdorf east of the source region of the Nasse and south of the source region of the Schöneberger Wipper, a headstream of the Wipper. The Glasebach flows through the Borntal valley and has a tributary near Agnesdorf. Finally it flows through the Bauerngraben, where it seeps into the gypsum in the southern part of the lake basin.

Heimkehle

The Heimkehle is one of two great gypsum caves in Germany that are accessible as show caves. It lies on the southern edge of the Harz Mountains between Rottleberode and Uftrungen, east of Nordhausen, right on the state border between Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt. The cave may be visited as part of a 45 minute long guided tour.
