University of the Aegean

The University of the Aegean is a state, multi-campus university located in Mytilene, Chios, Samos, Rhodes, Syros and Lemnos, Greece. The university was officially founded in 1984, although its historical roots date back to the early 1920s, to the Ionian University (Ex Oriente Lux, Light from the East) which while established never operated. The University of the Aegean is a medium-sized university, one of the 24 state supervised and funded universities in Greece.

Mytilene Municipal Stadium

Municipal Stadium of Mytilene is a multi-use stadium in Mytilene, Greece. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Aiolikos. The stadium holds 5,500 people.

Panagiouda

Panagiouda is a village on the east coast of Lesbos; 6km (3.7 miles) north of Mytilene. As of 2001, Panagiouda had 705 inhabitants which were primarily fishermen.

Goulandris I (coastal patrol boat)

The Goulandris I (P-289) was, along with Goulandris II (P-290), a series of two coastal patrol boats built by Neorion shipyards and donated to the Hellenic Navy in 1975 and 1977 respectively. They were 40-ton, 24 m long boats, powered by two 1350 hp diesel engines, and armed with a 20mm gun. Goulandris I was decommissioned in 1990. Goulandris II was destroyed by fire and sunk south of Lesbos Island without casualties on June 24, 1983
