Greek National Road 82

Greek National Road 82 (Greek: Εθνική Οδός 82, abbreviated as EO82) is a single carriageway road in southern Greece. It connects Pylos with Sparti via Kalamata. It passes through the regional units Messenia and Laconia, on the Peloponnese peninsula. Its length is 110 km.

Georgitsi

Georgitsi is a village in the Taygetus mountain range 28 km away from the city of Sparta in southern Greece. Georgitsi belongs to the municipality of Pellana, situated in the state of Laconia, in southeastern Peloponnesus. It is situated at an altitude of between 900 and 1200m above sea level. The village is very much known for its revolt against the Ottoman Turks in the 18th century.

Kalamata International Airport

Kalamata International Airport (Greek: Κρατικός Αερολιμένας Καλαμάτας) "Captain Vassilis Constantakopoulos" is an airport in the city of Kalamata, Greece. It mainly receives charter flights during the summer. The airport is located between Kalamata and Messene on GR-82 (Pylos - Kalamata - Sparta) and west of the train tracks on the Pamisos River plain. The runway is about 2.7 km long and runs from north to south from the highway north to the plain.

Vyros Gorge

The Vyros Gorge (Greek: Φαράγγι του Βυρού) is a deep river gorge situated in the 'Outer Mani' region of the Peloponnese in southern Greece. It runs from the foot of Profitis Ilias (the highest mountain of the Taygetus range) to Kardamyli.

Taygetus

Mount Taygetus, Taugetus, or Taygetos is a mountain range in the Peloponnese peninsula in Southern Greece. The name is one of the oldest recorded in Europe, appearing in the Odyssey. In classical mythology, it was associated with the nymph Taygete. During Byzantine times and up until the 19th century, the mountain was also known as Pentadaktylos (Πενταδάκτυλος; Greek for five-fingered, a common name during that period).
