Argyropouli

Argyropouli is a village in the municipality of Tyrnavos, Thessaly, Greece. It is located at altitude 164m, and is inhabited by 2,013 people. The main occupations are agriculture, farming and timber. The settlements are Argyropouli, Ano Argyropouli and Votanochori. 2.5 km southwest of the village at the foot of Lower Olympus Argyropouli is a lake known as Mati Tyrnavou. The only natural source of remaining in Thessaly, with an area of 250 sq. mts, the core ecosystem with rich flora and fauna.

Enipeas (Thessaly)

The Enipeas is a river in central Greece, tributary of the Pineios. Its source is in the northern part of Phthiotis, near Domokos. It flows generally northwest, through Thessaly. It flows through Farsala and Fyllo, and flows into the Pineios near Farkadona.

Pelinna

Pelinna was an ancient Greek city with a celebrated temple of Zeus Pelinnaeus, in Estiaeotis, ancient Thessaly. Pelinna was situated between Tricca and Pharcadon, near modern Palaiogardiki. The city gained particular prominence in the fourth century BC through its alliance with Philip II of Macedon. Among other archaeological evidence of the religious significance of Pelinna are two Orphic gold tablets found in 1985 on the site of Petroporos, dating to the late 4th century BC.
