Hellnahellir

Hella is a small town in the southern part of Iceland at the shores of the river Ytri-Rangá and has, as of 2011, 781 inhabitants. Hella is situated 94 kilometres to the east of Reykjavík on the hringvegur (Road no.1) between Selfoss and Hvolsvöllur.

Rangárþing ytra

Rangárþing ytra is a municipality located in southern Iceland. As of 2011, the total population was 1,523 (28th most populous in country), and the total area was 3,188 km² (11th largest in area). Its major industries include tourism and agriculture. Rangárþing ytra was created on June 9, 2002, when three municipalities, Rangárvallahreppur, Holta- og Landsveit, and Djúpárhreppur were merged. The largest settlement is Hella.

Ytri-Rangá

Ytri-Rangá is a river in Iceland popular for salmon fishing. It is over 55 kilometres long, rising north of Hekla, passing to the west of Hella before, 10 kilometres further south, joining with the river Þverá to become the Hólsá.
