Madhira is a major grama Panchayaths in Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh, India, formerly part of the Kakatiya dynasty. It is well connected by train and bus with cities like Khammam and Vijayawada. It is a stronghold of Communists under the leadership of Bodepudi Venkateswara Rao, Katta Venkata Narasaiah. Seelam Siddha Reddy was elected as MLA from Madhira constituency in 1967 and also worked as irrigation minister in Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy's cabinet.
