Chippagiri

Chippagiri is a mandal in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, India. There is a granite hillock on the northern side of the town. Utilising the granite a cluster of temples, in the Vijayanagara Style of Architecture was built. Hence the place was known as Shilpagiir; Hillock of art and architecture. Its corrupt form is Chipagiri. There is a well with granite stone boundaries. That is misused and put disuse. It goes dry after the rainy season.

Guntakal

Guntakal is a town in Anantapur district in the southwestern part of the state of Andhra Pradesh and 50 km away from Bellary of Karnataka, India. It has a population of 1,26,658 (2001 census). In 1963, experts have identified Guntakal station, the hub of Meter Gauge / Broad Gauge movements in several directions, as a natural and ideal location for the Guntakal Railway Division of South Central Railway.
