Neturia (community development block) (Bengali: নেতুরিয়া সমষ্টি উন্নয়ন ব্লক) is an administrative division in Raghunathpur subdivision of Purulia district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Neturia police station serves this block. Headquarters of this block is at Ramkanali. Hijuli and Par Beliya are urban areas in this block.

Barakar River

The Barakar River is the main tributary of the Damodar River in eastern India. Originating near Padma in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand it flows for 225 kilometers across the northern part of the Chota Nagpur Plateau, mostly in a west to east direction, before joining the Damodar near Dishergarh in Bardhaman district of West Bengal. It has a catchment area of 6,159 km . The main tributaries, Barsoti and Usri, flow in from the south and north respectively.

Neamatpur

Neamatpur is a town in Asansol subdivision of Bardhaman district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is around 8 kilometres from Barakar and around 10 kilometres from Asansol . It is under the Kulti Police Station and under the Kulti Municipality.

Sitarampur

Sitarampur, a small township just off the Asansol-Dhanbad stretch of the Grand Trunk Road, was one of the early hubs of coal mining activity. Coal was found in abundance around Sitarampur in the early years of the 19th century and mining started at this place in a big way. It is located in Asansol subdivision of Bardhaman district in the Indian state of West Bengal.
