Chenab Bridge

The Chenab Bridge is an arch bridge under construction in India. It spans the Chenab River between Bakkal and Kauri, in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. When completed, the bridge will be 1,263 m long, with a 480 m trussed arch span 359 m above the river Chenab and a 650 m long viaduct on the Kauri side. The bridge is part of several bridges and tunnels which makes up the Katra-Laole Section of the USBRL Project in Jammu and Kashmir.

Salal Hydroelectric Power Station

Salal Hydroelectric Power Station, Stage-I of 345 MW (115X3) and Stage-II of 345 MW (115X3), is constructed on river Chenab (Chandrabhaga in Sanskrit) in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. The project was conceived in 1920. TSXCVBNM,. he feasibility studies on the project commenced in 1961 by the state government of J&K and construction was started in 1970 by Central Hydroelectric Project Control Board under Ministry of Irrigation and Power.

Reasi

Reasi is a town and a notified area committee, tehsil and now a district in the Indian administered state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is situated at the bank of River Chenab. Reasi derived its name from its old name "RASYAL". In the eighth century Reasi was called Bhimgarh state,established by Bhim Dev.

Bhimgarh Fort

Bhimgarh Fort, generally known as the Reasi Fort, near Reasi, a town approximately 64 km north-west of Jammu. The Fort is located on a hillock approx 150 metres high. Initially the Fort was constructed of clay and later on one of the heirs of Maharaj Rishipal Rana, the founder of Reasi, reconstructed it using stone. It was used by the royal family members for taking shelter during emergencies.

Reasi district

Reasi is one of the oldest towns of the Jammu and Kashmir State. It was the seat of the erstwhile Bhimgarh State, said to have been established by Raja Bhim Dev somewhere in the 8th century. It remained an independent principality till 1822, when Maharaja Gulab Singh the then King of Jammu consolidated the small states.
