Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering

Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering or JNNCE is an engineering college situated in Shimoga, Karnataka, India. The college offers eight courses in the Bachelor of Engineering and four postgraduate Engineering courses. The college was established in 1980 by the National Education Society. The college is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

Bhadra River

The Bhadra River is a river in Karnataka state in southern India. The Bhadra originates at Gangamoola near Kudremukha, Western Ghats range, and flows east across the southern part of Deccan Plateau, joined by its tributaries the Somavahini near Hebbe, Thadabehalla, and Odirayanahalla. It flows through the towns of Kalasa, Horanadu, Balehonnur,Balehole and NR Pura. A Dam is built across the river near Lakkavalli which forms the Bhadra reservoir.

Tunga River

The Tunga River is a river in Karnataka state, southern India. The river is born in the Western Ghats on a hill known as Varaha Parvata at a place called Gangamoola. From here, the river flows through two districts in Karnataka - Chikmagalur District and Shimoga District. It is 147 km long and merges with the Bhadra River at Koodli, a small town near Shimoga City, Karnataka. The river is given the compound name Tungabhadra from this point on.
