Panchkula district was formed as the 17th district of Haryana state in India. As formed 15 August 1995, it comprises two sub divisions and two Tehsils named Panchkula and Kalka. The National Cactus and Succulent Botanical Garden and Research Centre, known as the Cactus Garden, is a cactus garden in Sector 5 of Panchkula, Haryana, India.
