Al Tarmia
Al Tarmia or Tarmiyah is a town in the Al Faris district of the baghdad Governorate in Iraq. The area is a sparsely populated farming community. The population is made up of mostly Sunni peoples from various local tribes including the Dulaym, Al Bu Farraj and the Al Ddury. A previous leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq, Jordanian-born militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi maintained a safehouse in the village.
