Muckanaghederdauhaulia (Irish: Muiceanach idir Dhá Sháile, meaning "piggery between two briny places") is a 470 acre townland in the civil parish of Kilcummin in County Galway, Ireland. It is in the poor law union of Oughterard in the barony of Moycullen. It was formerly regarded as the longest place name in Ireland (22 letters in English; 26 in Irish), but awareness of longer names has challenged Muckanaghederdauhaulia.

Screeb

Screeb is a small village in south-west Connemara, County Galway, Ireland. It is located on the R336 regional road, north of Casla and southwest of Oughterard. It was the location of one of Ireland's few peat-burning power stations. This was uneconomic but it was a welcome source of employment locally at the time.

Carraroe GAA

Carraroe GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the Gaeltacht area of Carraroe, County Galway, Ireland. The club is a member of the Galway GAA. Notable players include Seán Óg de Paor and Sean Ó Domhnaill, members of Galway's All-Ireland triumphs in 1998 and 2001. In 1996, they became the second Connemara club to win the Galway Senior Club Football Championship beating Oranmore/Maree in the final.

CLG Naomh Anna, Leitir Moir is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the Gaeltacht area of Leitir Móir, County Galway, Ireland. The club is a member of the Galway GAA.
