Dunbrody (1845)

This article is about the original vessel. For the replica, see Dunbrody (2001). The Dunbrody was a three-masted barque built in Quebec in 1845 by Thomas Hamilton Oliver for the Graves family, merchants from New Ross in Wexford. She operated primarily as a cargo vessel, carrying timber and guano to Ireland.

Dunbrody (2001)

This article is about the replica vessel. For the original, see Dunbrody (1845). The Dunbrody is a three-masted barque built in New Ross in 2001 by New Ross Drydock for the Dunbrody Project, with the financial assistance of the J.F. Kennedy Trust. The Dunbrody is a full-scale seagoing replica of the Dunbrody, launched in 1845 and wrecked in 1875. Since May 2001 the replica Dunbrody has been open to visitors at the quayside in New Ross.

River Nore

The River Nore is a 140-kilometre long river located in south-east of Ireland. Along with the River Suir and River Barrow, it is one of the constituent rivers of the group known as the Three Sisters. The river drains approximately 977 square kilometres of Leinster. The river rises in the Devil's Bit Mountain, North Tipperary. Flowing generally southeast, and then south, before emptying into the Celtic Sea at Waterford Harbour, Waterford.
