Abbeyshrule Aerodrome

Abbeyshrule Aerodrome is an airport located in south-east County Longford, Ireland, near the village of Abbeyshrule. Located in the centre of Ireland, the aerodrome is situated in uncontrolled airspace and is clear of restricted areas. The bituminous runway is 620 by 18 m (by ft). The Registered Training Facility (RTF), Aeroclub 2000, are located at the aerodrome as are several general aviation aircraft, including a Malmö MFI-9 Junior.

Taghshinny

Taghshinny is a village and parish located in South-East County Longford, Ireland, North-East of Ballymahon. The Church of Ireland church is notable for the large Annaly monument, dedicated to the Gore family who were major landowners in this part of County Longford in the eighteenth century and gained the title Baron Annaly.

County Westmeath is a county in Ireland. It is part of the Midlands Region and is also located in the province of Leinster. It is named after the ancient kingdom of Meath following the division of the kingdom. Westmeath County Council is the local authority for the county. Lough Owel

Lough Owel is a lough in the Midlands of Ireland, situated north of Mullingar, the county town of Westmeath. It is a deep lake, well known amongst anglers, and holds a few char along with brown trout. Water from Lough Owel feeds the Royal Canal, a canal crossing Ireland from Dublin to the River Shannon. Access to the lake can be gained from a carpark and pier to the south of the N4 Mullingar to Longford route.
