Kiryat Menachem bus bombing

The Kiryat Menachem bus bombing was a suicide bombing which occurred on November 21, 2002 in a public bus in the neighborhood of Kiryat Menachem in Jerusalem, Israel. 11 people were killed in the attack and over 50 were injured. The Palestinian Islamist militant organization Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.

The Tisch Family Zoological Gardens in Jerusalem, popularly known as the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo, is a zoo located in the Malha neighborhood of Jerusalem, Israel. It is famous for its collection of wildlife featured in the Hebrew Bible, as well as its success in breeding endangered species. According to Dun and Bradstreet, the Biblical Zoo was the most popular tourist attraction in Israel from 2005 to 2007, and logged a record 738,000 visitors in 2009. The zoo had about 55,000 members in 2009.

Israel Arts and Science Academy

The Israel Arts and Science Academy, or IASA for short, is a high school for gifted students from all over Israel. IASA is a boarding school. The school, located in Jerusalem, was founded in 1990 by the late Raphi Amram and the Society for Excellence through Education. Approximately 200 students live and study in IASA.

Kiryat HaYovel

Kiryat HaYovel is a neighborhood in southwestern Jerusalem on Mount Herzl. It was built in the early 1950s to house new immigrants. Today, Kiryat HaYovel has a population of 25,000 residents. Kiryat HaYovel is located on the main road to Hadassah Hospital, Ein Kerem, between Ramat Denya and Kiryat Menachem.

Malha

Malha is a neighborhood in southwest Jerusalem, Israel, between Pat and Kiryat Hayovel. Before 1948, Malha was an Arab village known as al-Maliha. The official Hebrew name of the neighborhood is Manahat named for the biblical town of Manahath, but residents of Jerusalem continue to call it Malha.
