Alife Cathedral (Italian: Duomo di Alife, Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Alife in the province of Caserta, Campania, Italy. Dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, it is the seat of the Bishop of Alife-Caiazzo. Alife Cathedral, first built in 1132, was formerly dedicated to Pope Sixtus II, later Saint Sixtus, the patron saint of the city.

Le Banca Airfield

Le Banca Airfield is an abandoned World War II military airfield in Italy, located approximately 14 km northeast of Caiazzo, in the province of Caserta, 30 km north-northeast of Naples. It was an all-weather temporary field built by the United States Army Air Force XII Engineer Command using a graded earth compacted surface, with a prefabricated hessian (burlap) surfacing known as PHS.

Monte Mutria

The Monte Mutria is a mountain in the Matese mountain range, part of the central-southern Apennines, southern Italy. Having an altitude of 1,822 m, it is located in the eastern part of the massif, on the boundary betwwwen Molise and Campania. Its peak commands the valleys of the rivers Tammaro easthwards, Calore Irpino southwards, Volturno westwards, and the both the Tyrrhennian and the Adriatic Seas are visibile from it.

Samnium

Samnium is a Latin exonym for a region of south or south and central Italy in Roman times inhabited by the Samnites. The name survives in Italian today, but today's territory comprising it is only a small portion of what it once was. The populations of Samnium were called Samnites by the Romans. Their own endonyms were Safinim for the country (attested in one inscription and one coin legend) and Safineis for the people.
