Reggio Emilia Cathedral

The Cathedral of Reggio Emilia is one of the three main religious buildings in Reggio Emilia. Built originally in Romanesque style, it was largely modified in the following centuries. The façade had originally 13th centuries frescoes, now houses in the Diocese's museum. The current façade is unfinished, with a 16th century covering in the lower level, with pilasters surrounding niches with the statues of the four patron saints of the city.

The Province of Reggio Emilia (Italian: Provincia di Reggio Emilia) is one of the nine provinces of the Italian Region of Emilia-Romagna. The capital city, which is the most densely populated comune in the Province, is Reggio Emilia. It has an area of 2,293 km² and, based on the 2010 Istituto Nazionale di Statistica (Istat) census, it has a total population of 530,343.
