Cervia Air Force Base

Cervia Air Force Base is an air base of the Italian Air Force. It is located in northern Italy, approximately 6 km southwest of Cervia, in the province of Ravenna. It is the home base of the 5th Stormo Caccia Intercettori, which flies a license-built version of the Lockheed Martin F-16 Falcon. It is also a NATO air base, which hosts deployed aircraft from the United States Air Force, Royal Air Force, and other NATO air forces on a routine basis.

Savio (river)

The Savio is a river in northern Italy. Its source is near Montecoronaro on Mount Castelvecchio which is near the western side of Mount Fumaiolo. The source is at an elevation of 1,126 metres and is marked by an iron monument. A wolf (the symbol of Montecoronaro) and the rings of the "caveja" (the symbol of Romagna) are on this monument. The river winds for 96 kilometres along the valley.

Abbey of St Maria del Monte

The Abbey of Santa Maria del Monte is a Catholic abbey in Cesena, Italy. This imposing building stands on the Colle Spaziano (Spaziano Hill). After the year 1000 a Basilica with tree naves was built between the year 1001 and 1026 and finally a Benedictine Monastery was founded in honor of Bishop Mauro, now a saint, who had the custom of climbing the hill to pray.

Rubicon

The Rubicon is a shallow river in northeastern Italy, about 80 kilometres long, running from the Apennine Mountains to the Adriatic Sea through the southern Emilia-Romagna region, between the towns of Rimini and Cesena. The Latin word rubico comes from the adjective "rubeus", meaning "red". The river was so named because its waters are colored red by mud deposits. It was key to protecting Rome from civil war.
