Trexenta

Trexenta is a traditional subregion of Sardinia, Italy, located in the northern part of the province of Cagliari. It encompasses an area of c. 400 km², including 13 municipalities. The terrain is mostly hilly in the eastern part, becoming more plain southwards. Economy is mostly based on agriculture, with the cultivation of cereals, olives and vines. In the Middle Ages it was part of the Giudicato of Cagliari.

Su Nuraxi di Barumini

Su Nuraxi is a nuragic archaeological site in Barumini, Sardinia, Italy. It was inscribed on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1997 as Su Nuraxi di Barumini. Su Nuraxi simply means "the nuraghe" in Campidanese, the southern variant of Sardinian. The complex is centred around a three-storey tower built around the 16th century BC. At this site Italian archaeologist Giovanni Lilliu discovered a fortified village that at times had been covered by ground and had become a hill.

Sardinia Radio Telescope

The Sardinia Radio Telescope is a large, fully steerable radio telescope currently being completed near San Basilio, province of Cagliari in Sardinia, Italy. It is a collaboration among the Istituto di Radioastronomia di Bologna, the Cagliari Observatory (Cagliari) and the Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory (Florence). It has been completed in 2011.

Dolianova Cathedral

Dolianova Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Pantaleon (Italian: Cattedrale di San Pantaleo, Duomo di Dolianova) is a church in the historical center of Dolianova, Sardinia, Italy, one of the main Romanesque buildings in the island. Giara di Gesturi

The Giara di Gesturi, Sardinian: Sa Jara Manna, is a high and steep-sided basaltic plateau which extends for about 42 km in the comuni of Gesturi, Tuili and Setzu in the province of Medio Campidano, and Genoni in the province of Oristano, in the southern central part of the island of Sardinia, Italy. The plateau was formed some 2.7 million years ago when lava from the cones of Zepparedda (609 m) and Zeppara Manna (580 m) covered older sedimentary rock.
