Supramonte

The Supramonte is an area of mountains and highlands located in central-eastern Sardinia, Italy. It lies northeast of the Gennargentu massif, spanning eastwards until it reaches the Tyrrenian See in the Gulf of Orosei. It has an extension of about 35,000 hectares, encompassing most of the territories of the comuni (municipalities) of Baunei, Dorgali, Oliena, Orgosolo, and Urzulei.

Tiscali (Tiscali Village)

Tiscali Village is an archaeological site situated in Sardina, in the comune of Dorgali. It is situated within a large cave in Monte Tiscali. It consists of the remains of a number of round dwellings dating from the first millennium BC. The site was re-discovered a little over a century ago and was first documented by the Italian historian Ettore Pais in 1910 and then in greater detail by Antonio Taramelli in 1927.

Province of Nuoro

The Province of Nuoro (Italian: Provincia di Nuoro; Sardinian: Provìntzia de Nùgoro) is a province in the autonomous island region of Sardinia, Italy. Its capital is the city of Nuoro. It has an area of 3,934 km², and a total population of 161,444. The province is divided into 52 comuni, the largest of which are Nuoro (36,443), Siniscola (11,532), Macomer (10,753), and Dorgali (9,000).

Ortobene

Mount Ortobene (Orthobene in the local dialect) is a mountain in the province of Nuoro, in central Sardinia, Italy, close to the town of Nuoro. There are two main parks: "Sedda Ortai" and "Il Redentore". At the feet of the mountain is a nuraghe archaeological area including the Domus de janas tombs. On the mountain's top is the bronze "Statue of Christ the Redeemer" by Vincenzo Jerace (1901).

Sanctuary of the Vergine dei Martiri, Fonni

The Sanctuary of the Vergine dei Martiri ("Virgin of the Martyrs") is a religious edifice in Fonni, Sardinia, Italy. On 14 April 1610, the Franciscan father of George Acillara took possession of the place where they would build the church and convent. The site, donated by fonnese Don Stefano Melis, was located in the district Logotza of the "villa" of Fonni belonging to the fief of Mandas.
